Assessment and Award The total duration of the MSc IPED is normally 24 months. Students will be assessed in accordance with the Edinburgh Napier University Regulations. Students aiming for a Master degree must complete the first seven modules (six compulsory and one selected / option module) within four trimesters (i.e. 16 months from commencing the programme) unless there are extenuating circumstances. The following details apply: The assessment for each module will be based on two assignments: a) A formative essay of about 1000 words b) A project/case study of about 3000 words The assignment will be designed by the responsible module leaders. The communication between module leaders and students is through email. The Research Methods module (the eighth module which prepares students for their dissertation work), and the dissertation work itself are expected to be completed within two trimesters. The use of the Masters Grading Scheme will apply to this programme. Students successfully completing this programme will gain the Award of MSc Investment Promotion and Economic Development. |
